About Richard Glenn

***If you are interested in inviting Richard to your church or area you may contact him by email at truthfromthehip@gmail.com***

Richard Glenn is a licensed and ordained minister who was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 23,1953. Richard has embraced a heart’s desire for the Lord for as long as he can remember and at the age of ten went forward at a Billy Graham crusade in Omaha and personally received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. At the time he was attending a mainline, denominational Lutheran church that did not understand nor preach the necessity of the “born again” experience, and as a result had within a couple of years gravitated back into the world to see what it had to offer.

Even so, his love for Jesus remained and the Lord has promised to never forsake any of us. At the age of 18 he and Denise, his wife-to-be, made a serious commitment to serve Jesus for the rest of their lives. Several years followed where they wandered spiritually, going through several local churches, not knowing for sure what their calling was or where the Lord was leading them. Then in 1981 the Lord led them, along with 2 others, in starting a new children’s outreach ministry that within a year quickly developed into an independent church. Eventually, over the years and through the excellent Pastoral leadership of Joe Laughlin and his wife Laura, this ministry became known as Victory Church and is a solid, thriving, wonderful body of believers to this day.

In 1983 Richard, his wife Denise and 3 children moved from Omaha to Fremont, Nebraska and pioneered a second independent local church. Rich and Denise were co-Pastors of Word Outreach Center of Fremont until 1988. At that point the church reorganized as Christ Alive! Ministries, where Christ Alive! Church and Richard Glenn Ministries emerged. Richard remained Senior Pastor of the church and President of the ministry until it’s closing in 2001. After nearly a tear of seeking the will of the Lord for further direction, Richard and Denise returned to their former church in Omaha to serve their friends and Pastor, Joe Laughlin and his wife Laura, in whatever capacity they could and remain an active part of Victory Church in Omaha and Richard currently serves as Pastoral Overseer of Life Song church in Wahoo, Nebraska.

For several years while serving in the office of Senior Pastor, Richard ministered as an itinerant teacher and preacher (Richard Glenn Ministries) and successfully developed, produced and taught through a radio program which aired on four stations in the Midwest, both secular and Christian.

While an active member of Victory Church in Omaha, Richard was invited in 2008 to be a Pastoral elder in the birth of yet another independent local church, the previously mentioned Life Song Church which is located in Wahoo, Nebraska.  Jerry Simon, who in the 1980′s served as Richard’s former youth minister at Word Outreach Center of Fremont, currently leads this church as Pastor. Richard, a member of the founding Board of Directors of Life Song Ministries, was sent out by the Elders of Victory Church to the newly formed Life Song Church as the Pastoral Overseer. Richard is currently ordained by Victory Church, Omaha, and is also a licensed minister at large of Life Song Ministries.

Richard has a passionate desire to see unity come back into the church, regardless of denominational affiliation, and firmly believes this is not only possible but inevitable as we come ever closer to the return of our Savior. Jesus Himself must once again be the common denominator that will supernaturally draw all Christians into one element of faith. Richard believes that increasing persecution, primarily through the political/religious sector, will drive the Body of Christ to put aside all of the insignificant differences that have held Jesus’ church back from operating in the power of the Holy Spirit as a unified body. Understand it or not there is but one Christian Body, united in our common faith, regardless of where, or even how, we choose to worship.

Richard willingly ministers in all Christian churches or groups regardless of their denominational affiliation or independence. Please feel free to contact him at truthfromthehip@gmail.com

  • For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

    II Corinthians 10:3-6
